We have been working hard here at Quest Consulting with our clients to take a long hard look at what our brand says about us as a business and like many business realised we have changed a lot in the last few years and so perhaps our branding was not a real representation of the qualities and values we are proud of. We got in the experts and worked with Chris Chapman at Swink Design to develop a new brand identity that we are proud of and which represents the growth we are looking forward to with the launch of our franchise in 2015, all will be revealed in November and we couldn't be more excited!
Choosing a brand can be a difficult decision (we know all too well!), however when choosing your company's brand there are a few things we found useful to keep in mind and so we wanted to share these insights with you.
1. Does your brand confirm your credibility?
Your credibility is the foundation of your business. Believe it or not, but your brand is able to influence your credibility without you even realising it. Your brand is usually the first thing your clients and potentials will see about your business, and first impressions matter. Its not just a logo, it’s about the whole package of how you represent yourself. A brand that looks professional, seems to be known by other companies and has a clean and well-presented finish will go a long way in confirming your businesses credibility.
2. Does your brand deliver your business's message clearly?
How many times have you had to read what seems like a novel's worth of information on a business's website before you were able to find out what that business's industry was and what they specifically did? Buzz-words are all well and good when used in context, but shoving them in all over the place will confuse your clients and potentials, and could potentially put them off doing business with you. Keep things simple and to the point.
3. Does your brand appeal to your target market?
Fun and bubbly fonts in bright colours may be fantastic for a child minding business website, but probably won't be appropriate for a funeral directors business card. Ensure that your brand appeals to your target market by thinking about if your brand is appropriate to your business rather than your own personal taste.
If you are interested in re-branding, we hope the above information was helpful. We would like to thank everyone who has given us feedback and input in choosing our new brand! Watch out for the new and improved Quest Consulting branding, we can’t wait to unveil it to you all!
