We have been sharing ideas and guidance on rewards and benefits this month but there are plenty of low cost or no cost options which you can incorporate into your business which you staff will value.
Here are our top 10 ideas (in no particular order):
- Concierge Services – give employees the chance to get post dropped off, dry cleaning taken and collected etc… without having to use their lunch to run errands
- Offer interest-free computer loans, through which companies purchase the computer and set up a payment plan with the employee
- Order in lunch once in a while, especially during crunch time for a project
- Offer free drinks or subsidize drink and snack vending machines
- Give employees a free holiday day on their birthday
- Consider discounts from local merchants — often gyms or parking, for example — that will give a discount if a certain number of employees sign up
- Offer free advice sessions from 3rd party providers such as pensions, financial advice, mortgages etc… These providers will often give ‘surgeries’ free of charge.
- Bring in a masseuse and treat your employees to a free massage
- Reward them with "work-from-home" days
- Incentives with prizes such as cinema tickets, vouchers for a meal our – ideas that allow employees to relax after a hard day at work.
All these types of ideas are low cost ways which can be really appreciated and welcomed by your staff and so give a great way to motivate.
